Cotton Fest has expanded and is heading to Cape Town this summer holidays.
The famous music and street culture event is set to take over the Mother City for the first time. This comes after the third Cotton Fest was a success in April this year. It was also the first event since its founder Riky Rick passed away earlier this year.
Cotton Fest Cape Town 2022: Where and when will it take place?
On Tuesday, 11 October 2022, organisers announced that the first Cotton Fest Cape Town will take place on Saturday, 10 December 2022, at Paarden Eiland Park.

Similar to the version in Johannesburg, the event will feature performances on two stages by some of South Africa’s best artists.
The event will have so much to see and do, Times Live reports.
The Cotton Stage will have headlining performers from both Johannesburg and Cape Town. With some of the biggest stars in the Amapiano industry right now, the second stage will showcase the New Wave of up-and-coming hip-hop artists. However, the lineup is yet to be announced.
The “Tuckshop” forms an essential part of the event. This retail section of the event will feature clothing and accessories from the fresh minds of upcoming designers.
Basketball enthusiasts will have access to a Cotton Fest half-court and a ramp that Day Marumo and Jagermeister sponsor.
There will be a food court and bar with various foods, snacks, and beverages available. Several places to relax and unwind will be open to the public, as well as photo booths for creating content.
How to buy tickets to Cotton Fest
Tickets will go on sale from Tuesday, 18 October 2022. They will be available from Webtickets and Pick n’ Pay outlets around the country. Ticket prices start from R200.
